“Under the Covers” with the Library of Friendship

In recognition of the “Library of Friendship” collection at Scholes Library, we invite the campus community to join us for a glimpse “under the covers” of this spectacular gift.

On Wednesday October 17th at 4pm, the library will sponsor a a short program of “Book Talks” by visiting artist Josef Schützenhöfer, and members from faculty of the School of Art and Design.  The talks will “uncover” selected titles from this impressive collection.  Please join us in acknowledging this 2nd installment of

gifts presented by the contemporary Austrian art community.

We hope to see you on Wednesday October 17th at 4pm (2nd Floor of

Scholes) for a unique introduction to the collection.

The Library of Friendship at Scholes Library is a gift to the students and professors of the university.  It stands as a collection of books, catalogs, publications, and media collected and donated by artists.  The collection is the result of a project that celebrates art as a bridge across national and political boundaries.
